Definition and Scope of Research
Research may be characterized as a process that is both disciplined and systematic, with the intention of exploring, analyzing, and finding answers to problems or extending knowledge across a range of sectors. The goal of research is to either expand knowledge or investigate certain topics. This technique is characterized by a number of distinguishing traits, one of which is an organized strategy that seeks to answer specific questions or handle specific difficulties by means of extensive research and empirical data. Research can be broken down into its most fundamental form, which includes the development of a research question or hypothesis, the collecting and analysis of data, and the interpretation of results in order to arrive at conclusions that are relevant. A wide variety of fields, such as the natural sciences, social sciences, humanities, and applied disciplines, are all subjects that are investigated using research procedures. In particular, applied research is focused on the resolution of practical challenges and the implementation of answers.
